AD Global granted ADGM licence

ApprovedSpecialist fixed income asset manager AD Global Investments has been awarded a licence to manage funds and assets by the regulatory authority of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). A subsidiary of Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Invest AD, the newly licenced AD Global has launched four Ucits funds covering emerging market debt for both hard and local currency, Mena fixed income and a sukuk fund. The four funds will be domiciled in Ireland, making AD Global the first ADGM-licensed manager to be granted authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland. The funds will be managed by co-chief investment officers Ian Clarke and Idrissa Boly. The news was welcomed by Steve Barnett, financial centre development director at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of ADGM who said that the AD Global will add “vibrancy to our asset management sector and capital market with more new and global products”. ©2019 funds global mena
