Amundi partners with Saudi non-profit for ESG research

French asset manager Amundi has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the FII-Institute, a Saudi-based non-profit to further its ESG research.

The collaboration will focus on conducting and publishing ESG research projects in emerging markets.

The MoU was signed by Amundi’s head of corporate and institutional clients division, Jean-Jacques Barberis, and FII chief executive Richard Attias at the latter’s inaugural ESG virtual conference.

“Our conception of ESG is to incentivise companies to engage into the transition we all need,” said Barberis.

“Different approaches are therefore needed depending of geographies and we are happy to develop new research capacities on ESG in emerging markets with FII-Institute,” he added.
