Barclays Private Bank hires Dubai exec

Barclays Private Bank has hired Bjorn Holderbeke as head of global investments and solutions for the MENA region.

Based in Dubai, Holderbeke will be responsible for the platform and investment products offered to clients in the region.

“The MENA region is a priority market with strong opportunities for growth,” said Francesco Grosoli, Barclays’ head of the private bank for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Holderbeke has formerly worked for Emirates NBD Private Bank, Citi Private Bank and ABN Amro Private Bank, where he was head of investment counselling.

In a statement, Barclays said it was committed to enlarging its team in the Middle East region.
