Millennial Capital appoints new board of directors

Dubai-based venture capital firm Millennial Capital has announced the formation of a new board of directors.

Following its annual general meeting in Beirut, Millennial has appointed Hamad Al-Attiyah as chairman and Konema Mwenenge, Georges Chackar, Shailesh Dash and founder Andreea Danila as board members.

The new board will be responsible for enhancing the management and business functions of the group including growth strategy, risk management, financial controls and corporate governance, the firm states.

Millennial Capital is planning to launch its first venture fund later this year with a focus on investing in global consumer brands. It has stated that it is aiming to have a first closing of the fund at $15 million.

In 2017 the firm forged a partnership with Brazilian fragrance company O Boticário with the objective of developing its operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council market.
