Tata AM to open Dubai office

The asset management arm of Indian conglomerate, Tata, is to establish a Dubai office as part of its plan to expand in the Mena region.

Tata Asset Management will base its new office in the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC). It will be led by Rohan Joshi, the firm’s regional head for the Middle East.

The office opening was described by chief executive and managing director Prathit Bhobe as a “key step towards expanding our network in the Middle East and broader Mena region”.

The news was welcomed by DIFC chief executive, Arif Amiri, who said that a global brand name such as Tata was “an excellent addition” to the centre.

There were over 730 active financial firms in the DIFC at the end of 2019, an 18% increase on the 2018 figures.
