
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and research group WealthBriefing show how women are increasingly influencing family offices and taking on more important roles within family businesses, and even given preference over their male counterparts in a growing number of cases. The report, entitled ‘Winning Women in MENA: How Wealth Managers Can Help Further Female Empowerment’, also highlights the expectations that women have as wealth management clients. Digital channels have given women greater access to information while also changing the way they interact with financial systems. This trend has coincided with a surge in female entrepreneurship where it is estimated that a third of new businesses in Mena are set up by women.
